Wendy and Richard had such a fun filled gorgeous wedding at East Lodge.  It was a lovely intimate ceremony with 24 guests in the stunning grounds of this beautiful venue.

East Lodge is wonderful, I have only ever done winter ceremonies at the venue, I’ve even done one in snow! To see the gardens looking so lush was truly breathtaking, I arrived early just to check out the gardens and take a wander around capturing some photographs to set the scene.  I always try to arrive early to venues to see where the light is falling, it was a particularly bright day for these guys so always mindful of where the sunshine is.

Wendy got ready at East Lodge on the morning of the wedding, the room she chose overlooked the garden and the front area so her and all the girlies could spy on everyone arriving.  It was super relaxed, it usually is when it is all happening in one location, it eliminates the stress of travelling, parking etc…I love how everyone makes so much effort at a wedding, all the lovely dresses, hair doos and even the guys always look smart with shiny shoes!

When it came to the ceremony, Wendy’s son’s escorted her to garden, one on each arm.  Richard was counting every minute before being with Wendy, he was so excited to see her he nearly fell in the bushes!!  That would of been one definite moment to capture!! I am always looking out for all the moments a wedding celebration brings, that is what gives me such a buzz, the unpredictability of the occasion with so many formalities the same but every single on so different.  The duo exchanged their vows in a small, wooden gazebo that was decorated with white flowers.

Once the ceremony came to an end, guests and friends had drinks and mingled.  Lots of hugging and kisses!  Wendy and Richard had a few photographs with the guests, it is so easy to get people together for groups when there is a small amount of people and they are all hanging out in one location.  There was something different and unique about this wedding, I really did feel part of their celebration, just like a guest.  The couple also allowed enough time for some couple photographs, wandering around these grounds was an essential.

It was almost time for me to go home and the guests to sit down for their wedding breakfast, but before this, myself, Wendy and Richard went into the room to see all the decorations, all the planning and hard work was over, time to enjoy the beauty come together.
