The Royal Hayfield Wedding Photography

Hayfield is a picturesque Derbyshire village near Chapel-en-le-Frith, well known as the location for the TV series ‘The Village’.  Overlooked by the summit of Kinder Scout, Laura and Adam decided that the village had everything they wanted for their wedding day, all in one place.  The Royal Hotel was the venue chosen for the bridal preparations and wedding breakfast, and Laura and Adam chose to get married in St Matthew’s Church, just over the bridge.  The day was slightly overcast, and it had been raining earlier, but Laura and her bridesmaids decided that nothing was going to stop them walking to the church!

After the lovely ceremony I took Laura and Adam off for a walk around the village, stopping every now and then for pictures using the superb grit stone walls and some lovely doors and windows!  After that it was back to the Royal Hotel, a superb location for wedding photography, for the next part of the day.

I always try and make sure that I take my couples into the dining room before the wedding breakfast starts, so that they can see the results of all their hard work and planning before their guests come in.  I was in for a lovely surprise this time.  Laura and Adam had decided to use lavender pots on the tables, and the smell was absolutely gorgeous!

After the meal and speeches and before the first dance there was just time for another bride and groom walkaround, this time in the rain.  No problem, however, umbrellas were at the ready.  Thank you so much for inviting me to your Hayfield wedding Laura and Adam – it was a wonderful day!
