Sophie and Sam – Engaged!
Dave and I spent a sunny Sunday afternoon photographing this lovely couple! We had been planning this engagement shoot for a little while and the weather in the morning was not on our side.
However, the afternoon turned into a beautiful day so we zoomed down to Sophie’s Mum and Dad’s while the sun was still shining. Sophie and Sam are getting married next year at Thornbridge Hall, and the images from the engagement shoot will be used to create a signing book for the wedding.
Sophie’s Mum and Dad live in a gorgeous cottage set around a pretty garden, surrounded by glorious countryside
Our mission was to get to the top of the hill. Sophie promised beautiful views from the ridge.
We stopped off at several spots to take advantage of the light through the trees.

Difficult to resist running down a hill like this!
Sure enough, there was a gorgeous view from the top of the hill.
Then it was back to the house for refreshments. Sophie and Sam changed clothes for a wander round the grounds with the animals.

Before we left Sophie and Sam for the evening, we took a final wander down the lane to take advantage of the gorgeous evening sun. On the way down the path Dave spotted this rather funky blue shed.
These lane shots are my favourite from the whole session.
We had a lovely afternoon with you Sophie and Sam. Can’t wait to make up the signing book and even more excited about the wedding! Bring on 2015.
